Please begin praying for the team of 15 from Heritage Bapist Church in NYC that will be coming to visit us in the great city of Porto Alegre on August 21-30. Pastor Matthew Recker is one of our church planting heroes. HBC has supported us now for several years. We met with the team on July 1 and are excited about what the Lord is going to do in and through their visit. Please pray that many new contacts will be made in our target area of the Igreja Batista Esperança.
Please pray. Last night, Brazil and especially our city of Porto Alegre experienced an aeronautical tragedy when an airplane slipped off the slippery runway killing now over 200 people. There were many on the plane that were native to our city. The sights and sounds of those in morning at the airport in Porto Alegre after hearing the names of those on board makes us anxious to be back on the field reaching out to those without Christ. We weep with hope, but many weep as those who have no hope in Jesus Christ. Pray for the work of the gospel in the city of Porto Alegre. We know that there are a people for His name sake there in that great city
